India Biz Data is committed to maintaining accurate, responsible, and lawful business information. If you are a business, authorised company representative, or an individual and believe that information maintained within our business information products is inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or has been included unintentionally, you may submit an Opt-Out Request using the process described on this page.

We review requests for the correction, updating, suppression, or removal of eligible information in accordance with our internal verification procedures and applicable legal requirements.

This page explains the scope of our Opt-Out process, the types of information eligible for review, how requests may be submitted, our verification procedures, expected processing timelines, and the limitations of this process.

1. Scope of This Process

This Opt-Out process applies to eligible information maintained within India Biz Data’s B2B Company Databases, B2B Business Databases, and B2C Business Databases.

Requests may be submitted by businesses, authorised company representatives, or individuals who believe information relating to them has been included within our business information products.

Verified requests may result in the correction, updating, suppression, or removal of eligible information from our active datasets. Where appropriate, we may also maintain suppression records to help prevent previously removed information from being unintentionally reintroduced into future database updates.

This process applies only to information maintained by India Biz Data. It does not apply to information maintained by government authorities, third-party websites, business directories, search engines, social media platforms, or other independent information providers.

2. Information Eligible for Review

You may submit an Opt-Out Request if information contained within our business information products is inaccurate, outdated, incomplete, or should otherwise be reviewed for correction, updating, suppression, or removal. Examples include:

• Company names or business names requiring correction
• Company email addresses (where applicable)
• Company phone numbers or business phone numbers
• Business addresses
• Official company website information
• Company profile information
• Business category or industry information
• Other publicly available business information maintained within our datasets
• Information relating to an identifiable individual that may have been included unintentionally

You may request one or more of the following: correction of inaccurate information, updating of outdated information, suppression of eligible information, or removal of eligible information, where appropriate.

3. Information Not Eligible for Removal

Certain categories of information generally cannot be removed through this process because they are publicly available business records, statutory information, or information not controlled by India Biz Data. Examples include:

• Government registration records
• Public regulatory filings
• Registered business entity information maintained by government authorities
• Information maintained by third-party websites, search engines, business directories, or social media platforms
• Industry classifications published by third parties
• Information that is not owned, maintained, or controlled by India Biz Data

Where a request relates to information outside our control, we will explain why the request cannot be processed and, where appropriate, recommend contacting the original information provider.

4. How to Submit an Opt-Out Request

If you wish to request the correction, updating, suppression, or removal of eligible information, please submit an Opt-Out Request using the form available on this page.

To help us locate and review the relevant information, please provide the following, where applicable:

• Your full name
• Your company email address or the email address associated with the request (where applicable)
• Designation
• Company or business name (if applicable)
• Company or business website (if applicable)
• The information requiring correction, updating, suppression, or removal
• A clear description of your request
• Supporting documentation or additional information, where available

Requests that do not contain sufficient information may require additional verification before processing can begin.

5. Verification Process

To protect the integrity and accuracy of our business information products, India Biz Data may perform reasonable verification before processing any Opt-Out Request. Depending on the nature of the request, this may include confirming one or more of the following:

• Your identity or relationship to the information referenced in the request
• Your authority to act on behalf of a business or organisation, where applicable
• Ownership or control of the company email address referenced in the request
• The accuracy of the information provided in your submission
• Any supporting documentation reasonably necessary to process the request

Where additional verification is required, processing timelines commence only once that verification has been successfully completed.

6. Request Processing Timeline

Opt-Out Requests are generally processed through the following stages:

Step 1 — Request Acknowledgement

We aim to acknowledge receipt of your request within 2 business days.

Step 2 — Verification

If additional information is required to verify your request, we will contact you before processing begins.

Step 3 — Review & Processing

Verified requests are generally reviewed and processed within 14 business days, depending on the complexity of the request and the information provided.

Step 4 — Completion Notification

Once processing has been completed, we will notify you using the contact information provided with your request.

Actual processing times may vary depending on verification requirements, request complexity, and operational workload.

7. Suppression Records

Where an Opt-Out Request results in the suppression or removal of eligible information, India Biz Data may retain limited suppression records solely to help prevent that information from being unintentionally reintroduced into future database updates.

Suppression records are maintained only for operational, quality assurance, compliance, and record management purposes — never for marketing, lead generation, or any unrelated commercial activity. Only the minimum information reasonably necessary to maintain effective suppression controls is retained.

8. Limitations of This Process

Before submitting an Opt-Out Request, please note the following limitations:

• This process applies only to information maintained by India Biz Data.
• We cannot modify, remove, or suppress information maintained by government authorities, third-party websites, search engines, business directories, social media platforms, or other independent information providers.
• Information independently maintained by third parties may continue to exist outside our systems.
• Removal or suppression of information from our active datasets does not necessarily result in its immediate removal from archived backups or historical records; however, where appropriate, suppression measures will be applied to help prevent future inclusion in active database releases.
• Processing timelines may vary depending on verification requirements, the complexity of the request, and the completeness of the information provided.

9. Your Rights

Businesses, authorised company representatives, and individuals may submit requests to:

• Correct inaccurate information
• Update outdated information
• Request suppression of eligible information
• Request removal of eligible information, where appropriate
• Raise questions regarding our business information handling practices

We aim to acknowledge enquiries within 3 business days and make reasonable efforts to review and resolve verified requests as promptly as possible, depending on their complexity and the information provided.

Our Commitment

India Biz Data does not intentionally compile, collect, process, market, or sell employee personal information, private or personal email addresses, consumer personal databases, student databases, residential contact information, financial information, health information, government-issued identification information, or any category of sensitive personal data.

Where information relating to an identifiable individual has been unintentionally included within our products, we encourage the affected individual to submit an Opt-Out Request — verified requests will be reviewed and, where appropriate, the relevant information corrected, suppressed, or removed.

Our business information products are intended to support legitimate commercial purposes while respecting applicable privacy principles and responsible data management practices, and we welcome businesses, authorised representatives, and individuals to notify us whenever eligible information needs review.
