Description
TLA is a non-profit legal firm striving to improve the overall legal status of Tibetans through its pro-bono legal services. TLA got it legally registered in 2014 under the Karnataka's Societies Registration Act, 1960. TLA was formally formed with forty-one participants of Tibetan lawyers, law graduates, and law students during the conference of Tibetan Legal Fraternity which was organised by the TSJC in 2013. The importance of forming an association of Tibetan Legal Practitioners was promulgated by H. H. the 14th Dalai Lama in 2009. The primary mission of TLA is to improve the legal status of Tibetans, and provide legal services on pro-bono to the Tibetans, and the underprivileged Indians throughout the world. Currently, we have over 200 + members, and the membership is subject to Tibetans who are law students, law graduates, or lawyer by profession.
