We are one of the oldest State Food Laboratories is  in the country  established in the pre independence period. SPHL Assam caters to the needs of not only Assam but almost entire NE India & the head of the Laboratory, the Food Analyst to the Govt. of Assam is also the Food Analyst to the Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh,  Meghalaya, Mizoram & Sikkim.
