On 3rdDecember 2015, Swami Chanderkantananda from Belur Math inaugurated Swami Vivekananda Studies Centre established in college under UGC scheme of Epoch making social thinkers of India. On this occasion, Mrs. SushmaMehra, President ShahzadaNand College managing committee, Patron and Principal Mrs. HarbinderKaur (Chairperson of Swami Vivekananda Studies Centre), Coordinators Dr. Mrs. AtulaBhaskar(Associate Professor Hindi), Mrs. Sonia Puri(Assistant Professor History) and Mrs. Sonia Chawla (Research Associate) warmly welcomed Swami ji. Later Swami ji addressed the students and motivated them to follow teachings of Swami Vivekananda - Ideal of the youth and to do social service which is the need of the hour.
