Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies (SIMS) is a premier Maritime Training Institute in India established by prestigious Executive Group of Companies, Singapore. Pre Sea training campus at Lonavala is spread over fifty acres (twenty hectares) of land. The institute includes residential facilities for 400+ candidates, an auditorium, a catering center, an administration building, a "ship-in-campus", a Maritime science Center and a nautical and engineering workshop and swimming pool. The Institute boasts of LPG Simulator, one of its kind in the world. The institute is the only maritime training institute in India to have a free fall lifeboat training facility.
Post Sea Campus at Mumbai located at Govandi, Mumbai, provides unique hands-on training on state-of-the-art simulators and equipment. The simulators include the Full Mission Bridge Simulator which is capable of 240° field view bridge simulator with ability to rotate by 360°. A full mission Engine room simulator, state of the art Gas Tanker simulator, generic and type specific ECDIS training, state of the art electrical training and many other incredible features which ensure hands-on experience for the seafarers. The most intriguing training feature at Mumbai is the absolutely unique FRAMO cargo pumping System and Fully Installed stainless steel cargo tank.
