Eur¡ka Yebego Adragot Dirigit (in short: ‘Eur¡ka') is an Africa-born non-profit organization founded by 6 women and 5 men of different backgrounds and origins experienced with NGOs, African Union, United Nations and Government agencies.
Our name is inspired from Archimedes' famous quote meaning "I have found it!", which is at the heart of our philosophy: helping our beneficiaries to find their own light, i.e. a way out of poverty, violence or other misfortunes.
We pursue any sustainable action aiming at a visible progress of Women's and children's rights and well-being, in the form of either development or humanitarian projects seeking particularly to: prevent and respond to Gender Based Violence, offer legal assistance and psychosocial counselling to survivors and at risk populations, empower mothers and caretakers, alleviate indigence, increase households' income as well as prevent unsafe child migration.
We consider it a 'must' and the most viable / efficient approach to find the right balance between socio-economic and environmental imperatives.
