DAV Public School, Hehal, a leading school of Ranchi Zone, started functioning in 1987 with 250 students. The school functions under the guidance and supervision of DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. Today the strength is above 6500 with classes from Pre-Nursery to Std XII (Arts, Commerce and Science streams). It has three grand and beautiful buildings comprising Class-rooms, Administrative block, Yajshala, Well equipped library, Computer Rooms and Science laboratories. The latest edition to the infrastructure was the G.L. Dutta Science Block inaugurated by H.E. Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, ex President of India. It is a proof of its commitment to provide quality education to the students that today the school is thriving into three wings. One primary wing at west-end park, near Kaju Bagan and two units at Itki Road i.e. one middle and one senior wing. It has a galaxy of dedicated and qualified teachers who work for the development of multi-faceted personality of students.
