Banas Dairy, officially known as the Banaskantha District Cooperative Milk Producers' Union Ltd., is a division of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), operating under the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of Gujarat. Established in 1969 as part of India's transformative Operation Flood initiative, Banas Dairy has grown into Asia's largest milk producer, making a significant impact on India's dairy sector and rural economy. With the unwavering support of over 1,80,000 shareholders and 1,450 cooperative societies, Banas Dairy collects and processes an average of 75.14 lakh liters of milk daily.
